About Me
Ms Honey Mamabolo, a multi-award winning business leader, dynamic speaker, panellist and moderator, is the Founder and CEO of Ceive Africa Group (Pty) Ltd, a 100% black woman-owned and led integrated business strategy consulting, leadership development and executive coaching firm which partners with clients to drive sustainable business strategies and digital solutions; circular economy practices; ESG frameworks and future leadership skills development.
She is a certified ESG professional and accomplished business leader, strategist, and relationship builder with strong commercial, negotiation, and business turnaround skills honed over 20 years in various industry sectors. She is a seasoned non-executive director and board committee chairperson with more than 12 years of corporate governance and strategic oversight in multiple companies.
Ms Mamabolo has achieved historic milestones, including being one of three first black female graduates in chemical engineering from the University of Pretoria and the first woman to lead the over 100-year-old South African Mint Company, a subsidiary of the South African Reserve Bank, as Managing Director.
She distinguished herself as the first green energy specialist and clean energy fund coordinator for two clean energy development finance funds at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) with a combined value of nearly ZAR 1 billion and has participated in renewable energy project finance deals, with the largest valued at ZAR 10 billion. Her expertise as a green energy development finance specialist contributed significantly to South Africa’s energy sector market transformation through concessionary funding for energy efficiency and project financing of renewable energy projects.
A champion for diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI), she has authored a chapter in a book titled "Women in Leadership – Breaking the Glass Ceiling," focusing on leveraging diversity and inclusion to combat micro and macro aggressions towards women in the workplace.
She was nominated in the top 50 KZN Business Women in 2019 and was a runner-up at the SEIFSA Business Woman of the Year Award in 2023. She is a category winner for the Pan African Women Empowerment Summit 2024.
